The website that I have been designing over the last few weeks for a Travelocity Partner is finally complete. I'm relieved in that everything functions as expected, including the big daddy of the project, the Travelocity Booking engine. The booking engine was the biggest challenge because it works in three parts, the Hotel engine, the Flights engine, and the Car engine. When a visitor clicks on the Hotel page, the hotel engine loads, allowing visitors to book a hotel from anywhere in the world. Likewise the Flights and Car pages do the same, allowing visitors to book flights and car rentals. At the top of each page is a Flash header that corresponds to each product. Below that is a scrolling link box that contains links to even more travel deals.
This has without a doubt been my most challenging web design, but in action, it's beautiful and works like a dream.
